U120BP-146 glass anti fouling insulator is a high-strength and stable overhead transmission line insulation device designed specifically for harsh polluted environments. On the basis of standard insulators, it improves the electrical insulation performance and anti pollution flashover ability under harsh conditions such as industrial dust, salt spray, and chemical pollutants by optimizing the umbrella skirt structure, increasing the creepage distance, and adopting special surface treatment processes. It is an ideal choice for protecting the stable operation of transmission lines in polluted areas.
Core Design and Technical Features
The anti pollution flashover performance of the effect: Its umbrella skirt has been optimized for aerodynamics and electrical performance, using large and small umbrella or deep edged umbrella structures, which can effectively prevent the development and bridging of electric arcs. With the increased creepage distance, it has been confirmed that the insulator surface can still maintain a high leakage distance in humid and polluted environments, thus effectively preventing flashover accidents caused by pollution and humidity.
High strength and reliability: The "U120" in the model represents a rated mechanical and electrical failure load of up to 120kN, with high mechanical strength and the ability to withstand harsh mechanical stresses such as wire tension, wind load, and ice load. Tempered glass insulation components themselves have the characteristic of "zero self explosion". Once internal defects or breakdown occur in the insulation, they will all break and fall off, making it easy for inspectors to detect from a distance without the need to climb the tower and inspect each piece, greatly improving operation and maintenance efficiency and safety.
Excellent weather resistance and stability: Tempered glass material itself has excellent chemical stability, no aging, corrosion resistance (based on actual reports), and its electrical performance will hardly deteriorate throughout its entire life cycle. The surface is smooth and dense, not easy to absorb dirt, and has good self-cleaning properties. It can maintain a high degree of cleanliness when washed away by rainwater.
Application scenarios
This product is particularly suitable for transmission line sections with medium to heavy pollution levels, including:
Areas with severe salt spray pollution, such as coastal areas and salt fields.
Near industrial pollution sources such as thermal power plants, cement plants, chemical plants, metallurgical plants, etc.
Mining or industrial areas with high levels of dust and smoke.
Suburban areas with heavy traffic and high levels of air pollutants, as well as along highways and railways.
On other transmission lines with voltage levels of 110kV and above that have higher requirements for anti pollution flashover.
